Saturday was National Public Lands Day and that meant free admission to all state and national parks so I took my tiny human for a drive through the park and a short hike through an old growth forest with trees that are estimated to be over 1,000 years old (meaning there are trees that were there during the Norman conquest of England). The last of my photos from Japan. I didn't take my camera at all this last trip since I knew I wouldn't be going around taking photos (a bummer, but it'd have been worse to bring it and then not use it). So have the last of my ones from Kyoto.

Second round of pictures from Kyoto. I didn't have a chance to go to Entoku-in the past few times I've been in Kyoto, and I'm really glad I got to go this time. It was gorgeous, and virtually devoid of other people (a welcome respite during Silver Week).

Took my camera with me back to Japan but only got to take pictures around Kyoto (couldn't in Tokyo since I was basically going to cons every day after sightseeing in the morning and they don't let you take cameras into the venue). It was great to revisit a lot of the places I'd been before but didn't get to spend a lot of time exploring.

Trying to get out and see as much of the PNW as I can before I move next year. Finally went to Discovery Park and saw the Lighthouse.

Did a quick day trip up to Van City on Monday. I didn't get as much time to walk by myself with my camera as I wanted but oh well; excuse to go back (again).

For all the times I've been to Instagram Point Gasworks, I've never actually taken photos there, so I took my camera out on the nicest day of the year (so far).
